Ainsley Wingard has joined the Germain Dermatology staff as its newest physician assistant.
After earning a bachelor of science degree in health science with a minor in Spanish from Clemson University in 2016, Ainsley returned home to Charleston and began working at Germain Dermatology as a medical assistant and Mohs surgical assistant. She then went on to earn her master of science in physician assistant studies from North Greenville University, graduating magma cum laude in 2018. After graduation, she spent a year working as a hospitalist PA in the Upstate of SC before finally returning home to the Charleston area to practice at Germain Dermatology.
She has been personally trained by Dr. Germain and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all skin, hair, and nail disorders, as well as the prevention of skin cancers. She has a special interest in acne, as well as skin pigmentation disorders.
Ainsley is an active member of the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (SCAPA) and serves on the executive board. She is also involved in the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Ainsley is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed to practice medicine through the South Carolina Medical Board.
Ainsley resides in Mount Pleasant with her fiancée Tyler. She enjoys exercising, traveling, spending time with family, and cheering on her alma mater (Go Tigers!).
She understands the difficulty of missing work or school and therefore offers an evening clinic each week, early morning appointments starting at 7 a.m., and select Saturday clinics.
