The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise. The results are proven, noticeable, and lasting—so you’ll look great from every angle. Germain Dermatology was the first in the South Carolina to offer CoolSculpting and has been performing treatments longer than any other office in Charleston (and still remains the only practice to offer the Fat Cracker!).

It’s an innovative way to contour your body by freezing unwanted fat away with no surgery or downtime. With more than 6 million CoolSculpting treatments performed worldwide, people everywhere are getting a better view of themselves, thanks to the one-of-a-kind CoolSculpting procedure.

EVERYONE’S BODY IS DIFFERENT
Your CoolSculpting clinician will work with you on the best treatment plan tailored to your needs. It may take as little as one office visit to achieve your goals. With different applicators to choose from, your clinician can design a treatment plan that can give you your desired results.

What Does CoolSculpting Look Like
ELIMINATE FAT WHERE THE BULGES REALLY BOTHER YOU
For some people, a customized treatment plan may include more than one CoolSculpting treatment. For example, you may want freeze away fat from your inner and/or outer thighs—and also get rid of that muffin top. Some practices have multiple CoolSculpting systems and can treat different body areas at the same time.

Fat Freezing Treatment Area
IT’S A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO YOUR BODY-SCULPTING TRANSFORMATION
Your physician will provide a clinical recommendation of which areas should be treated and how many treatments you will need. The result? The sculpted shape you want.

Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the CoolSculpting procedure. While some patients may see results as early as 3 weeks after their first treatment, the most dramatic results are usually seen between 1 and 3 months following treatment.

Fraxel at Germain Dermatology

You constantly hear how great lasers can be for a variety of skin issues, but what laser do you choose? With so much new technology, multiple treatments and an overflow of information it’s hard to understand what laser to use and what they do.
Today we are breaking down the Fraxel Laser Treatment.
Fraxel® (a fractional laser) is a laser beam divided into thousands of microscopic treatment zones that target a fraction of the skin at a time. These beams rejuvenate sub-surface skin cells and prompts collagen production via light energy treating wrinkles, sun spots, melasma, actinic keratoses, large pores, and scars from acne or surgery.
The treatment takes about 30 minutes, and although a skin resurfacing tool, is noninvasive and gentle. No skin is peeled or abraded away making healing minimal.

Patients may notice some redness, swelling, and flaking in the days after their Fraxel® session, but side effects are minor and give way to long-lasting results. Improvements should be visible within a week, and will continue beyond that.

Four to six treatments scheduled about a month apart may be necessary to generate a patient’s complete desired results.

Let us know if you have any laser questions. Our experts are always here to help and guide you to the BEST you yet!
